by posted 11/25/2020

3&2 would like to take a moment as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday to thank you for weathering this year with us. We would not be the same without each of you and your child's participation in our programs. During the season especially, we thank you for bringing our parks alive every night with your enthusiasm and pride for your kids at 3&2.

Happy Thanksgiving. We’re thankful for you and look forward to seeing you again soon in 2021.

Indoor League for KDG-2nd grade players
by posted 11/03/2020

3&2 Baseball is excited to introduce a new Winter League option for players in KDG thru 2nd grade (4-8U) this season.  Want to keep the development and training going through the winter months or are you a family who hasn’t played ball before and wants to get started before spring? This is the league for both of you and others in between. This is NOT just a hitting league. This is full indoor baseball games for young players.

Games are played at HOMEFIELD USA located at 2115 East Kansas City Road Olathe KS 66061. The playing space is one of the finest indoor sports venues in the area and terrific for baseball training and games.

Teams will play their current grade level as a default. Teams are composed of a recommended roster of 5-7 players, with a maximum number of 8 teams total for the league. Space is limited!

The season will start on Saturday, February 6th and games will be played Saturdays from 8AM-12PM. Games are 1 hour long. The season will be 6 weeks long and will conclude on March 13th.

Managers or coaches interested in having a Winter Ball team should complete a manager’s application starting November 1st, 2020 on 3&2’s web site.  Click on the REGISTER TEAM button on the front page of the web site and follow the prompts. This must be done before individual players will be able to be added to your team roster.

Interested in playing but don’t have a team???  Individual player registration will be done through the 3&2 web site. Parents should click on the REGISTER NOW button on the front page of the web site and follow the prompts. On a space available basis, teams may be formed with players not already on a team (free agents). Parents are needed to lead and coach those teams.  Free agents will not be placed on a team until and unless registration is paid in full.

The player registration fee is $75.00.

Can I play a grade level higher if my child’s advanced or a grade level lower if my child’s needs more development?  In general, yes to both situations and we look at each of those cases individually.  At this early level of baseball, we’d recommend playing your grade level, meeting friends/classmates your age for ease of potential team transitions in the future.

The league structure will be the same as during the summer with divisions within age levels to make sure teams are matched as evenly as possible. If you’re a manager, when you register, please indicate the level of play your team should be in. Standings will be kept.

Teams should wear as similar colored uniforms as possible. Mixed uniforms are acceptable.  While uniforms are not provided by the league for this program, machines to pitch the baseballs are provided.  Sign up today!!

Hit Trax Team Registration is Open!
by posted 10/23/2020

Individual registration for HitTrax starts on 11/1

HIT TRAX is BACK! 3&2 is pleased to once again offer an awesome indoor hitting league option for teams 9U-18U using the powerful Hit Trax baseball simulator technology.  Hit Trax is where XBOX/PS4 meets real baseball in an interactive, dynamic and super-fun atmosphere.

Games are played at HOMEFIELD USA located at 2115 East Kansas City Road in Olathe.  The playing space is one of the finest indoor sports venues in the area and terrific for baseball training and games.  Great facilities, great games, fun for the kids with zero impact on the arms. It's all about the stix in Hit Trax!

You need not be affiliated with a team to sign up. 3&2 has had these leagues the last several years and they have been very popular and successful and our gauge for success is players having fun.

Hit Trax is for hitting only so if you’re resting your arm in the off-season, which we recommend, but still want to stay sharp with the bat, here’s your opportunity!

Player & Team Benefits/Feedback from Hit Trax:

  • Performance metrics meets fun entertaining baseball!
  • Players pick MLB Park to play.
  • Teams can choose to play tougher defensive sets. (Example: 10U team can play vs. a 12U simulated defense if they chose)
  • Full audio and visual experience as players watch the live ball hit and the simulator respond with precision and accurate metrics.
  • System provides immediate feedback
    • Exit Velocity
    • Distance of Hit
    • Launch Angle/Elevation
    • Strike Zone Analysis
    • Spray Charts
    • Hard Hit Average
    • BA, SLG, and OPS
  • 8 Game Season: One double header per week on consecutive weeks. Expect 6-10 at bats per game so a lot of hitting reps each game!
  • 4 Age groups to choose from: 9-10u (3rd-4th grade), 11-12u (5th-6th grade), 13-14u (7th-8th grade), & high school (15U-18U)

 General Rules:

  • Teams roster is a 4 player min - 6 player max, must bat a minimum of 3 each game
  • $75 per player
  • Games limited to 6 innings or 30 minutes, whichever comes first (Games can end in a tie)
  • Home team picks the stadium
  • All games use a pitching machine. Coach feeds the machine.
  • Machine placed at 42', speed adjusted for age

Here's what a few of our coaches had to say about last season.

  • "Kids has a blast. We can't wait for our next game," Coach M.
  • "This is a really cool thing that we will be doing again!" Coach R.
  • "This is awesome!" Coach J.
  • "That was a bunch of fun!" Coach S.

Hit Trax is for hitting only so if you’re resting your arm in the off-season, which we recommend, but still want to stay sharp with the bat, here’s your opportunity!
